Your Character
Character Name: Cara Reid
Age: 21
City: LA
Character Alignment: Neutral
Special powers: Technomancy. She can talk to and manipulate machines into working for her.
History:
Cara was born in 1978 to Molly and Jason Reid. Growing up in her house was a bit unusual, but it was never dull.
Her parents were pretty laid-back, so it was easily the favourite hangout for Cara and her friends while they were growing up. And if Mum made cookies, all the better. There was no better way to spend a Saturday than eating cookies and watching Dad beat the other kids at games. Of course she knew that sometimes he would let them win, but that was their secret.
Cara's favourite person in the whole world, hands down, had to be her father. He was the one who fixed everything and made it better. From broken dolls, to roller skates, to scraped knees from the roller skates, he was the one she'd come to. Not Mum. Mum was the one to come to if you needed ten for the cinema. Pushover.
When Cara was 15, she joined the computers club at school. She figured that she could do well enough, and besides, a couple of her friends had been in it. It didn't take her long to really enjoy working with computers. It just came easily to her. She enjoyed it so much that if she wasn't in class, or at home, she'd be in the computer lab, working on something.
After graduation, she decided to go to a local university and actually get a little slip of paper that said she was qualified enough to poke around the insides of a computer and make it tick. Three years of that, however made her think bigger. So she researched and found that she could find some really well-paying jobs over in that crazy USA place.
It was time to find a place in LA. The City of Angels, they said. Well, that was enough of a sign for her to apply to schools over there.
It took a while for the schools to get back to her, but find one she did. So, right before her first semster started, she left for LA. She got a job as a waitress in an internet cafe to pay the bills, and does fairly well for herself.
Personality:
Cara is the type to just let things slide right off her. She's slow to anger and quick to forgive, but I wouldn't push that luck too far. Cara is very outgoing, and generally tries to get along with everyone. She could probably be right at home in just about any situation.
Calm, cool, collected, is the way Cara likes to run things. She can't stand for disorganization or panic. With panic, people make mistakes, and if you make mistakes, it's not going to work. And Cara likes things to work. She avoids conflict whenever possible.
Appearance:
Cara has long, reddish hair, usually worn down because she's too lazy to do much with it but brush it. Usually dressing in loose fitting clothes, it's hard to tell what her figure is exactly, but she's fairly thin.
She will always have her laptop with her. No exceptions.
